The Night Before is the first of two mini-albums by Mancunian rock band James, due for release in April 2010 to coincide with the band's Mirrorball tour. Some of the songs, such as Porcupine, have been previewed by the band at previous shows. A track titled "All My Letters" was made available for Itunes buyers, whilst purchasers of the CD get an online bonus exclusive track "Mother's A Clown".

Better Than Love is the HURTS' next single released in May, is faster than the likes of Wonderful Life and the plodding Blood, Tears and Gold. Theo, the lead singer, is very good because he can sing, he sings properly and he doesn’t hold back. The song rattles and pulsates, bleeps and twangs. The best part is “Does it feeeel better than love?” and then it crashes in to a great chorus. It would have some spectacular remixes like Jamaica Remix and it shows that HURTS are more than a few black and white pictures.

Blur's new song Fool's Day racorded especially for Record Store Day has sold out on limited edition 7inch vinyl record.Fool's Day was available across the UK at independent music retailers participating in Record Store Day. 1000 7inch vinyl copies were pressed.

Blur's manager Chris Morrison has said it is important that the song was made available to fans
legally."To avoid fans having in to illegaly obtain an inferior copy of this track from pirate sites -
we made it freely available through the band's website".

Recorded in London earlier this month, Fool's Day is the first song 4 members of Blur have recorded together since Battery In Your Leg from the album Think Tank (2003).
